Hello Friends!
Well my grandfather is out of the main ICU unit. One doctor says he can go home tomorrow, another says next week. Who knows?
Happy Leap Day as Elliot said on his blog! (Jumps up and down)

Here's the vid of my sister and I singing at the talent show I posted about earlier. By the way, my sister is IndinaTookofMithegard. I was shaking and my knees were literally Nocking. (Sorry, I couldn't resist! LOL) Knocking. I'm the one with my hair half pulled back, and my sis is the one with it in her face! LOL She decided to hide I guess! She claims it was an accident. Hmm...
Hope you have a great day my fellow bloggers!

A Miracle
I was reading Ian's post about God's miracles and that inspired me to write about a miracle that has happened to me.
It was my first day of kindergarten. I was riding in the car on the way to a viewing for an elderly man that had passed away at our church. It frustrated me that I couldn't look out the window, because my dad had a suit hanging up blocking it. Well, we went around a sharp corner, and another car came flying towards us in the opposite direction. Before we knew what happened, BOOM! We got hit. Glass shattered, my sister screamed. When we came to a stop, we all got out, shaking, but not seriously injured. Looking at the car we found that the window by me was completely shattered, but I didn't have hardly a scratch on me. Do you know what saved me? My dad's suit! It caught all the glass that would have busted all over me!
We found out later that the very day of the wreck, our pastor suddenly felt the urge to pray for our dad and family. Our God works in amazing ways, doesn't He? Praise be to Him from whom all blessings flow!

The Restorer's Journey, My Grandpa, etc.
Hello friends!
I have just finished reading The Restorer's Journey, and I have to say...THERE HAD BETTER BE ANOTHER ONE! It's one of those endings that's not really an ending. Argh. It was very good though.
I visited my Grandpa, well, I call him my Pepaw, today. He seemed very scared. I told him you guys were praying for him and if he could talk (he's on the ventilator) I'm sure he would send his thanks.
Saw Black Hawk Down this weekend. Aside from the language, (another argh) it is probably one of my favorite war movies. I saw the TV version. I also saw the Spiderwick Chronicles, which was interesting. I thought it was a *saved monster* movie for sure. You'd like it *SM*. It was cute.
Thanks for your prayers. Never Alone!

Emergency Prayer Request
Boy, do I live the life of Aidan Thomas. Yesterday my grandfather was taken to the hospital because he passed out in his wheelchair for no apparent reason. Then, last night at three o'clock in the morning, my mom gets a call that he is now in ICU because his heart stopped. I believe this morning he is still on a ventilator. Please pray for him and my family.
My grandfather accepted Christ on one of his many bedridden hospital visits. So whatever happens, I know where he is going. And if the worse happens, it's OK, because he will be going to meet his King.

A Time of Praise
Hello friends!
Isn't God good? Today in worship I just felt His presence around me. Oh, what a feeling! Being before my King, singing songs of worship! Wow. Uh oh. I feel a time of praise coming on! Hold on to your hats, because I can't restrain my thoughts!!!
God is great. God is good. God is wonderful. God is loving. God is jealous. God is merciful. God is mighty. God is just. God is awe inspiring. God is comforting. God is powerful. God is gracious. God is slow to anger. God is MY KING!!!
Awesome in majesty, Is the One eternal. Perfect in His might and power, The only truth and only source, He made all that is and loves all He made; His works are beyond our understanding. ~ Sharon Hinck.
I love my King, and can't get enough of him! I praise YOU, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. YOUR works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Thanks for sitting through this time of praise with me!

More Random News
Well, more Hobbit news.
It seems someone else is now suing New Line for something. I forgot what. That might put The Hobbit back and delay it further. Argh.
In other news...I'm still on Chapter 8 of my story. Sigh.
My great grandfather passed away a couple weeks ago. I didn't really know him that much because he had alsheimer's for most of the time, but my grandmother is taking it hard. Pray for her if you will.
I have been reading in Numbers lately and was surprised at the great number of the army of Isreal even at this early state. I think it said something like there were 600,000 men able to fight. WOW! I have studied a lot about the Revolutionary War and to them 6,000 was a huge army. I can't imagine going up against a force of a little over half a million people.
On my new pole you can pick more than one I think. Have fun!

Just Another Day
Well, not much is happening at my house lately. Bored. Sigh.
OOH!!! This just in! I just got The Restorer's Journey today! Whoop! I've read the first three chapters just about and some of my predictions have already come to pass! Creepy.
I began the 8th chapter of my story/book thing. It gets easier to write as I go along, and I thank my King for that.
Not much going on again. How have you all been lately?

The Restorer's Son
Ooh! I just finished reading The Restorer's Son yesterday. I loved it! I cried AGAIN!!! What is the world coming to? Anyway, I recommend it.
Note: If you haven't read the book, you might want to stop here.
But a few things are now left unsolved. Can Jake get back through the portal? Kieran was still kinda beat up at the end, so is he OK now that he isn't the Restorer? The book mentioned something about him looking strange in the end before Mark and Susan left. What will happen now that Cameron and Medea are loose in "our world"? What do they want with it? My guess is weapons like machine guns or technology of some kind. But I'd like to see them try to take it back through the portal without Mark and Susan finding out. What about Nolan? Will he ever fully open up to Kieran? Does Kendra have a boy or a girl? What will Zarek do now that Kieran is not a Restorer? So many questions, so few answers. I guess we'll just have to read The Restorer's Journey to find out.

Rafting
How many of you guys have ever been white water rafting? I have, and let me tell you it's one of the most amazing and terrifying things I've ever done and hope to do in the future. You're sopping wet and the only sounds you hear are the roaring of the water, your heart beating frantically, and you're guide yelling commands. Right one, left two, back two, reverse! In chuch today we were talking about the Holy Spirit and that got me to thinking about river guides. Why? You might be asking me. But if you think about it, the Spirit is kinda like the great Guide that directs your boat through Life's River. Some times the current is easy and things are smooth sailing. It tends to be easier to listen to the Guide then. But when the River gets crazy and the water is raging around you, it's harder to hear him. If you try to listen even when things get out of control, most of the time you end up alright. You might be wet and cold afterwards, but you survive. But, if you shut out the Guide when he is giving you commands and start paddling your own boat, most likely you'll hit a Rock and capsize. Maybe this is really random. Anyway, that's what I've been thinking.

A Few Random Thoughts
Hello My Friends!
Happy Valentines' Day!!!
As a side note: I have gotten just about halfway through The Restorer's Son and Kieran has just battled with the One. He's in some weird temple to the hill gods at the moment.
As another side note: Tonight my sis and I are singing in a talent show. Pray that we wont get kicked off the stage!

The Door Within Fan Fiction
Here's some fan fiction I wrote. I don't think it's real great, but it's Nock and Bolt's last day in Yewland before they left for Alleble. Here goes!
The sun’s receding rays filtered their way through the numerous boughs of the trees. The forest was settling down for the night; birds flew back to their perches, ground creatures returned to their holes or hollows. But the fading day did not catch the attention of two in the wood. A small songbird was flying to the safety of a high branch and happened to catch a glimpse of the pair below. As a matter of fact, they were Glimpses. And wonder of all wonder to the small mind of the bird, they were mirror images of each other. The little singer cocked his head at them and flew up to a higher branch. The Glimpses stood on either side of a great tree. The look of youth still clung to their faces, but a held a maturity nonetheless. Each had light brown hair pulled tightly back, and intelligent blue eyes. Both had a bow with an arrow strung and ready to spring forward. A target was attached to another tree a great distance in front of them. The Glimpse on the left side of the great trunk nodded his head forward. “Alright. First shaft to the center wins. And Nock, try not to split the target this time.” The Glimpse to the right huffed mockingly. “Come now, Bolt. You know that was not my fault, but the efficiency of the Blackwood shaft. But that is beside the point. Ready?” “Ready,” replied Bolt. “On the count of three. One...two...three!” The words were barely out of his mouth before the two arrows shot forward and struck with a thwok into the target. The twins ran forward to examine their handiwork and determine the winner. But when they got there, they found two arrows stuck into the trunk of the tree, and the target...or what was left of it, in two jagged pieces on the ground. Bolt looked slowly from the shattered wooden target at his feet to the face of his brother and raised an eyebrow. Nock guiltily half smiled and shrugged. Bolt shook his head and pulled the arrows from the tree. “Now that you have obliterated 5 targets in the space of 3 hours, I say we call it a day. There’s a lot left to do before we go.” The grin on Nock’s face faded. He looked around at the great trees of his homeland of Yewland and sighed. “I wish we had a little more time. Tomorrow seems far to soon,” he said quietly. Bolt looked into his brother’s eyes, expecting to hear more. “Don’t mistake me, I feel it a great honor to be invited to Alleble. Not everyone is chosen to train for a place among the Elder Guard. But it is hard leaving the land of one’s birth and childhood to journey to a new place, not knowing if we are every to see our home again.” A sudden sadness washed over Bolt’s face that puzzled Nock. True, leaving Yewland was a bittersweet experience for both of them, but there was a hint of another emotion that Nock couldn’t identify hidden beneath the sadness. “Yes,” said Bolt. “It will be difficult leaving behind our home and...friends.” Nock caught the slight hesitation in his brother’s voice. Bolt noticed Nock eyeing him and his expression perked up. “But think of it this way.” Bolt put an arm around the shoulder of his twin. “An exciting new place and lifestyle to explore. New people to meet and friends to make. And above all else, we will everyday be in the presence of our King. We go to protect and serve Him, and to do His will.” Nock smiled. “You are right. He is the reason we leave, and what a reason it is! How do you always know what to say and when to say it?” “It is a gift,” Bolt said with a sly grin. “Now, let’s be off.” “Agreed,” replied Nock. “We don’t want to be late for our own farewell banquet. Queen Illaria was very kind to hold it, was she not?” Again, that queer look in Bolt’s eyes. “Yes,” he said almost absently. “She was.” “Come on then!” Nock yelled heading off into the woods at a sprint. Bolt quickly followed and they disappeared into the forest.
**********************
“Honored guests and friends,” the Queen’s voice silenced the many voices around the dining hall of the Castle of Yewland. The large table was set with a variety of foods and dishes only found in that land, and every guest had as much Golden Tear as they could drink. Nock sat at her left, Bolt to her right. Illaria stood and held her glass of the precious drink high. “Tonight we come here to honor and farewell two of Yewland’s most valiant, who have been called to the kingdom of our allies in Alleble to become new members of the elite group known as the Elder Guard. Though we are saddened by your leaving us, we are honored to have two such as you rise to such a prominent position. May you be victorious in battle, and win great glory. And may you not forget the land of your home.” She then lifted her glass high. All stood and did the same. “Peace and love,” she called out. “Honor and glory, go with you,” replied all the voices in the hall. Then every glass was sipped and all were seated again. Only the Queen remained standing. She nodded to an attendant at the side of the room and he came forward, bearing an item under a velvet sheet. When the cover was pulled away, all at the table gasped. “The Royal Chalice,” was the whisper that ran down the table and back again. The Royal Chalice was created for the first ruler of Yewland. Designs of many interwoven vines and trees traced across it, and dotted about these were Moonblossoms and Golden Tear flowers. It was truly a beautiful vessel. A ruler presenting a certain Glimpse with a drink from that Chalice was considered the highest honor in all of Yewland. The twins looked wide eyed at each other in unison, then back to the Queen. Illaria filled the Chalice with Golden Tear and then held it aloft. “To Nock and Bolt, who have been two of my most loyal subjects, faithful servants, and greatest friends.” Nock noticed the same odd expression Bolt had shown just barely light on the Queen’s face before it fled. Together the twins stood and inclined their heads, once again in unison, to Illaria. She passed the Chalice to Bolt first, then to Nock. The cup was returned to the attendant and the feast began.
*******************
It was dark by the time the farewell banquet ended. All the guests had left, but Queen Illaria had asked that Nock and Bolt stayed behind. They now stood on a balcony overlooking the sleeping land of Yewland. The moon was barely visible through the trees, but it cast its misty glow down on the three. Illaria stood with her back to the twins, looking down at her kingdom below. Then she turned. And for a moment, Nock thought he caught the faintest glimmer of tears in her eyes. But when he looked again, they were gone. She took a deep breath and sighed. “I truly am sorry to have you both leave Yewland. You will be sorely missed by many. Including myself.” She paused and cleared her throat, her eyes glinting green in the darkness. “So,” she continued, “I wanted to give you something to remind you both that if you should ever return here, you will be welcomed back eagerly. And as a final token of my...appreciaton.” She left the balcony and returned. With her she brought resting upon a cushion, two silver circlets. One by one, she placed them upon the heads of the twins. Together they inclined their heads towards the Queen, a heavy silence settling on the scene. The three faces that looked at each other were filled with a deep sadness. Then in their usual fashion, the twins replied in unison. “Thank you, my Queen. We are honored at your kindness.” This time tears were definitely visible in the eyes of the Queen. “Farewell,” she half whispered. “Farewell,” the two replied. For the last time in many years, Nock and Bolt inclined their heads to this great lady and left her castle. ***********************
The next morning dawned bright and clear. Everything was a lively shade of green, and the woods were filled with its unique sounds. Nock and Bolt drank it in and soaked it up. Two white dragons had been sent from the castle to aid them in their journey to Alleble. A good night’s sleep had helped eased the pain of leaving their home, and the prospect of a new experience before them was very inviting. Nock slung his bow on his back; Bolt did the same. They loaded the few thing they had decided to bring and mounted. They walked their dragons to the platform edge and had a last look at the land of Yewland, their home. With one command the dragons took to the air and soared upward. Within moments they were above the tops of the trees, the wind rushing towards them, the forest rushing behind. It would be a change for sure, living in a cobblestoned city that they had never been to, but it would also be exciting to have to learn new things. Urging their steeds forward, an unspoken agreement passed between them. Accepting this new station in the city of the King would be a grand adventure indeed.

The Restorer
Hello Friends!
I have just finished an excellent book. It was very interesting. Has anyone read The Restorer? I hope so! I loved it and strangely enough, to you people who already read it, my favorite character is Keiran. I don't know, something drew me to him. I felt like Susan and I wanted to reach out and try to lead him to the One. I almost hyperventilated from crying in the last couple of chapters! I don't cry often, but books and movies always do the trick for me. I have only read the first two chapters of The Restorer's Son, so don't give anything away. But what Susan was dealing with, the call to Surrender that she heard, made me think and do an examination of my heart. And I found that there are a lot of things I need to surrender to HIM. I need to let him have full control.
So, to those of you who have read the books, who's your fave?

A Scripture Verse with Spanish Flare
Ok, for Spanish class we had to learn a Bible verse in....well....Spanish. I really enjoy learning other languages, and I pick them up pretty quickly. So the verse that I learned is...
Drum roll please... (forgive the lack of proper punctuation below)
"Por cuanto todos pecaron, y estan destituidos de la gloria de Dios."
Romanos 3:23
"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23

Just a Thought
By now, many of us know that Peter Jackson will be doing "The Hobbit" movie. In what form or fashion, I'm not sure. But in 2009 production starts and in '10 the first of two installment will be released. So, here's my question: to subplot or not to subplot. That is the question. In your opinion, do you think an extra tidbit or two about Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli would help or hurt the film? Personally, I hope they put it in there, because to me, you can never go wrong with those three. We'd get to see more of the Ranger side of Aragorn, Gimli would fit right in in a movie with tons of Dwarves, and the more awesome stunts Legolas could pull off, the better. Not to mention they go to his home and meet his father. So, what do you think?
P.S.: I believe the picture was done by Wayne Thomas Batson.

Well, forgive me for saying this, but I'm not a huge fan of football. I probably won't watch the game tonight. But, for those interested, they are showing a new Prince Caspian teaser sometime in the commercials. I'm weird like that, so I'll probably watch it.

We Were Soldiers
Hello All!
I haven't had much to say over the past few days. But yesterday I watched We Were Soldiers. I really enjoyed it, 'cause I'm the kind of girl that would WAY rather see a war film than a chick flick. Anyhoo, the movie really reminded me that we take our soldiers for granted. Sure, we know there's fighting going on, but it seems so distant. But people loose their lives for our country everyday. Anti-war protests make me sick. I understand, war is...well...war. But at the same time, isn't it supposed to make you proud? All those men willing to die for your rights, or the freedom of others? If you were in their shoes and you came home after all that time away from your family and country, wouldn't it hurt you to see that all that you sacrificed was being thrown in your face? I am a firm supporter of our troops. After all, it's not them that makes the war. They just obey an order. I am proud to be an American, and I am proud to support our troops in Iraq.
